I see nothing “effeminate” about the Pope but even if he was, so what?

Reading comprehension! I was referring to a weak effeminate version of the Church, not him personally. But, here's the Good News: Estimates are that more than 1 million catechumens were brought into the Church this past Easter Vigil (100,000 in the US, alone)--and you can bet that most of them were not liberal Catholics. Thank God that the Church is becoming more conservative as new members come in.

Sorry I have been busy and not able to respond. OK fair enough that you don’t mean that the Holy Father is personallly effeminate

But you actually raise MORE questions when you utilize adjectives that are meant to refer to gender when referring to one’s philosophy, ideology, or policy

Yes, it is no secret that you and I have vast ideological differences on many issues. And I do with your church as well

However, there are some things that I ADMIRE about your church

It’s compassion for the poor. It’s renunciation of violence. ( I am not necessarily referring to war in the latter case, but there is much to respect in the Just War philosophy for example)

I am not sure why you fell back on the adjectives of effeminate (or by implication masculine)

Would you not be better served ( if you admire what is traditionally considered masculine to say “confident… decisive . self assured, or as much as it rubs me the wrong way.. “take charge”

I am sure that you will agree that some of the strongest people in the world are women. No generally not in physical strength. But in other types of strength

But is compassion “effeminate” ? Is helping the poor “effeminate? Is feeding the poor effeminate? Is singing Christmas carols to the bedridden and lonely elderly ( which I did with you some years back) effeminate

In the traditions of your Church, yes, the Knights Templar were certainly “masculine” but that the only example that readily comes to mind

In fact, the qualities you seem to admire in much of your philosophy seem to be more generally associated with Evangelical Protestants than with the Roman Catholic Church..

(Let me assure you that as much as I disagree with much of what your church believes, I find the Catholic Church to be VASTLY preferable to the Buffoonery of the Evangelicals and Christian Nationalists..

Again Exhibit A … Pete Hegseth.. who has more in common with an adolescent Play Station bully than a Christian

So why the gender references?

Even as metaphor they don’t make a lot of sense

Speaking of Trump Derangement Syndrome, I am curious as to if you posted this before or after Trump ( speaking of deranged) committed blasphemy with his reprehensible AI depicting himself as Christ ( or sorry a doctor 🤣)

On the same day that he blasted Pope Leo …

On the latter, knowing your reactionary ( no not conservative) views you are probably no fan of Pope Leo or Pope Francis before him …

Oh, and need I mention “War Department’s “ interpretation of the Gospel According to Pulp Fiction? 🤣

Not sure if the Trump image really constitutes blasphemy, as generally understood. I wouldn't have done it, but then, this is the world of politics. You do remember when a huge number of people at a Democratic national convention some years ago actually booed God, right?

As you are aware, the Pulp Fiction reference refers to a misquoting of Ezekiel, and thus is not Gospel at all.

Alas, Leo seems to be following in the footsteps of the weak, effeminate version of the Church , although is thankfully not including the corruption of Francis. Leo is free to condemn Trump all he wants, but it would have more credibility if he used the same tone against Islamic terror toward Christians in Nigeria.

Thanks for reading!
