Your re-telling of this twilight zone episode totally drew me in. I agree, so relevant for today’s world where work is the fulcrum of our life. I still listen to twilight zone audios once in a while, they’re about as chilling as ‘reality’ is these days.

I did watch the episode after I read your telling of it. I agree it was well done. But there’s something about reading a story vs. watching a show. Allowing the mind to create the visuals. I remember hearing that reading is more ‘active’ engagement vs. watching a show being more passive, which makes sense to me. Maybe that’s why I spend more time reading than watching. (Substack mostly, these days) Anyways it was a nice break to read your story vs. more covid/war/great-reset news, even if in the end it all ties in.
