It was some time in the spring of 2021. The COVID vaccination program was moving ahead, and I was writing about the situation in another forum. I happened to check Pfizer’s initial data, which noted that there was not enough information available to evaluate the vaccine’s safety on pregnant or lactating women.
Available data on Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine administered to
pregnant women are insufficient to inform vaccine-associated risks in pregnancy.Data are not available to assess the effects of Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine on the breastfed infant or on milk production/excretion.
The above quotes are taken from the Fact Sheet for Healthcare Providers Administering Vaccine (Revised: 26 April 2022). The same statements appeared in the original Fact Sheet (Revised: January 2021).
Please read the quotes again, and allow me to unpack this for you. Despite the ominous statements regarding pregnant and lactating women that appeared in the initial fact sheet, official healthcare encouraged this very cohort to take the jabs, based on no data, AND contrary to the guidelines issued by the manufacturer of the vaccine.
If that were not bad enough, a full 15 months later, those particular guidelines have not been updated. More to the point, according to the manufacturer, there is STILL insufficient data to pronounce on the safety for pregnant or lactating women.
But, it was in that spring of 2021 that I got an impassioned phone call from a good friend of mine, a Los Angeles-based pediatrician of some note. He was beside himself as to how any responsible health agency could possibly recommend that this very sensitive cohort take the vaccines, despite the manufacturer’s own statements.
Why, this was contrary to everything he had learned in medical school. For blindingly obvious reasons, pregnant and lactating women were the last group one would want treated with an experimental drug! Does no one remember thalidomide?
I was unable to offer him much comfort. In fact, not two hours before I got his phone call, I was in a heated argument with a scientifically-trained young man whose wife had just become pregnant, and was going to get vaccinated. When I sent him the link to Pfizer’s own statements, he replied “But, the CDC…”
It was not that long ago that women and children were considered special, and worth extra care and worry. No doubt, our old paternalistic attitudes caused their own share of harm, but abandoning them completely is hardly the answer.
Likewise, not too long ago, no one would have dreamed of drag queen story hour or indoctrinating little kids with homosexual/transgender propaganda. Sadly, these misdeeds are a feature and not a bug of our current educational system. Don’t think for a moment that this activity was unknown to those in charge.
Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a great millstone hung around his neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea. (Matthew 18:6)
Oh, yes. There will be a reckoning.
