Maybe it’s time to put forth a counter-narrative to the nonstop gloom and doom coming from many “conservative” voices, who should know better. Now, I don’t deny for a moment that the rigged election of pedo-Joe has unleashed one disaster after another. Still, we should step back and look at the positive signs.
At this point, I will invoke the famous words of 1922 Nobel Laureate in physics Niels Bohr: “Prediction is very difficult, especially if it’s about the future!”
It’s quite clear that the Dems are desperate as Hell, trying to use Section 3 of the 14th amendment…
No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice-President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.
You might recall that the term “insurrection” was used by essentially all of the mockingbird media to describe the events of January 6, 2021, and it should be clear why this term was employed. What better simpleminded lawfare strategy could there be to guard against Trump running again? Never mind that being off the ballot does not prevent a write-in.
Only, Trump was not even charged, let alone convicted of insurrection—which Merriam-Webster Unabridged defines as “an act or instance of revolting against civil or political authority or against an established government.” Given the timing of the 14th amendment (1868), it is obvious that this was directed to former members of the Confederacy. Even so, there were many exceptions. And here.
We might also consider the clause about “Giv[ing] aid or comfort to the enemies thereof.” You can count up the number of current-day China-owned senators and representatives (and more?). You could also go deeper, and speculate how FDR’s performance at Yalta might have had implications for his political future, had he not died.
Heck, a decent argument can also be made against Eisenhower.
The closest we ever came to creating a social credit system was with our near miss on the remarkably fascistic vaccine passports. My, how things have changed. By mid-2023, virtually no doctors were recommending the “vaccines” anymore, and Florida Surgeon General Ladapo has blasted the miserable FDA, calling for the products to cease being used. As it is, the number of people “current” with the vax is way down, as its inefficacy and side effects became well-known.
While woke Hollywood continues to put out films that no one wants to watch, the studios are hemorrhaging money, even as they continue to double down. It is amazing just how isolated the execs and talent are from the pulse of the fans. Memo to Bob Iger: I don’t think BlackRock will love you anymore once the stock crashes into oblivion.
Then there’s the resignation of intersectional queen Claudine Gay. While she should have just been flat out fired and also removed from the faculty, I’ll count this one as a victory. Bear in mind that Harvard Corporation could have easily found a competent black female to be their president, but they chose not to. Instead, they characteristically jumped the shark in their breathtaking arrogance, and knowingly put up a serial plagiarist. Epic fail, guys.
In short, the path to doomsday is not quite as linear as some pundits would have you believe. Indeed, our eventual success is made all the more certain with the Left’s inevitable urge to push things too far.
As always, your Point of View is thoughtful and enlightening.
