Tribalism

How far have we progressed since the days of Judges 19-21?

This is a natural follow-up to the previous posting. A typical definition of “tribalism” is “Strong in-group loyalty and sentimental attachment to one's own group and its traits.” But, this is not really the whole story. For some time, tribalism has also created extreme amounts of peer pressure, that cause members of the tribe to often support positions that make them extremely uncomfortable.

The most egregious recent example is the viewpoint by many whereby gender dysphoria, formerly recognized as a mental illness, is now “treated” with dangerous puberty blocking drugs and mutilation surgery. Sadly, this latter day Josef Mengele torture porn is embraced by much of academia, organized medicine, and of course the Left.

This atrocity could not have begun without the ridiculous notion of “gender” being invoked as some sort of mental version of sex, in which a physical male could “identify” as a female or vice versa. In fact, up until quite recently, “gender” was used in discussions of languages, grammar, and electrical/electronic connectors. The word only appeared in the human context when sex (as referring to whether one is male or female) became too supercharged a word for polite company, since it also referred to intercourse.

As another consequence of this tribalism, women’s sports are quickly being destroyed as biological males are allowed to compete with the women. Attention Barack and Michelle Obama: Can we still judge a society by how it treats its women and girls?

Despite lessons that should have been learned long ago regarding Ignaz Semmelweis, medical tyranny by the clueless and tribalistic establishment is still very much with us. Doctors have been disciplined for using ivermectin, even if it absolutely cured their COVID patients, and the “vaccines” are still endorsed by officialdom despite all the negative findings.

More than that, the CDC, in a move that can only be called “insane,” has added the COVID jabs to their immunization schedule for children and adolescents. Do you note the savage irony of “immunization” in this context? The COVID jabs do not prevent infection or transmission. The pathetic CDC may have changed the definition of “vaccine,” but it can’t very well change the definition of “immune.”

Oh, and for those keeping score at home, no one can change the definition of “man” or “woman,” either.

It’s high time for these tribes to disband.
