The mainstay of the mainstream media

Two issues that keep bubbling under contemporary conversations are the matters of election fraud and the disastrous mishandling of COVID-19. Less than two weeks ago, Los Angeles residents observed the strange phenomenon of outsider mayoral candidate Spencer Pratt showing a commanding lead over City Council member Nithya Raman in the primary election, only to have his margin completely erased when late mail-in ballots were counted. Cold comfort that Raman had conceded the race earlier.

You might ask yourself why “late” election returns always seem to favor the progressive candidates. The stock answer is that older, more conservative voters are somehow more organized, and will submit their ballots in a timely manner, while younger, more progressive voters are uniquely frazzled and scatterbrained, invariably turning theirs in at the very last minute. How this carelessness comports with the unbridled political compassion also attributed to this very same demographic is never explained.

The MECHANICS of how these late returns occur in California stem from changes introduced by the majority Democratic state government. More than ten years ago, the rules for mail-in ballots changed so that they need only be postmarked by election day, rather than arrive by that date.

Related laws were also passed favoring extremely forgiving standards for evaluating questionable ballots, along with the notorious Motor-Voter program, that opened the door to illegal aliens being put on the voter rolls—as illegals are being granted driver’s licenses. Add to that the compromised nature of voter rolls with respect to ineligible people not being purged, and you have nothing less than a hot mess.

While we’re at it, by what rubric was the puerile notion of universal suffrage ever conceived? In what other human endeavor is a non-contributory member of the group granted a voice in how operations will proceed? At the very least, shouldn’t a voter have to be a taxpayer?

As to the mishandling of COVID-19, I covered this is great detail at the time, when I had a weekly column on a large health website. Given the idiotic lockdowns, and the fraudulent and dangerous “vaccine” so eagerly proffered by the authorities, I called this the greatest catastrophe in the history of public health. While other pandemics had greater death tolls, the problems here were all self-inflicted, and we should have—and did—know better. The craven capitulation to Big Pharma was monstrous in scale.

So, I ask you: Where were the elite media in these two gigantic issues of election fraud and the mishandling of COVID-19? “Nowhere” would have been a better answer than the truth, which is that the mainstream media were utterly complicit with corrupt authority.

I challenge you to find a single elite media piece or broadcast that does anything other than mock the notion of election fraud. Regarding COVID, the best you will see these days is a quiet form of non-coverage. The CDC acknowledges that vaccination rates for COVID are way down, and attributes this to, you guessed it, “misinformation.” Apparently, “misinformation” is defined as not agreeing with the CDC.

Indeed, the very first instance of non-coverage of the tragic effects of the COVID “vaccine” occurred in the cardiology community. Remember, I was all over this at the time. Cardiologists were pushing the vax like mad until the cases of pericarditis and myocarditis started appearing in young people—a demographic that previously was nearly immune to these conditions. Suddenly, it was radio silence.

But, give the cardiologists their due. At least they stopped pushing the Big Pharma line—quite uncharacteristically. On the other hand, the elite media attacked all the naysayers, including Dr. Peter McCullough, the most widely published cardiologist in the world. Gotta have those Big Pharma dollars, right?

And, the charade goes on. At this very moment, pundits are lamenting the dismantling of 60 Minutes, as if the show were some sort of cultural touchstone, when it has never been anything more than a supercilious recitation of liberal values—along with all of CBS News’ programming. Not surprisingly, 60 Minutes’ coverage of election fraud and COVID-19 portrayed the establishment positions.

Given the wide availability of alternative media, one wonders why the elite news media still even exist. With any luck, it will die out with the Boomers.
