If the deafening silence of the medical community in the face of the catastrophic response to COVID-19, and the sheep-like acceptance of laws that would cancel physicians from differing from the mainstream were not enough to convince you that healthcare in the US is in dire straits, then this will:
It was shocking to discover recently that many well-known children’s hospitals are advocating dangerous drug therapy and mutilation surgeries as “treatment” for gender dysphoria. Let it be clearly said, that a “physician” can dispense all the horrific puberty-blocking meds he cares to, and perform body-carving atrocities all he wants, but this will not change the sex (or “gender”) of the patient. It surely will, though, have lifelong side effects, and will create a continuing source of revenue.
Now, this “therapy,” that would put Josef Mengele to shame, is being officially endorsed by the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Medical Association, and the Children’s Hospital Association. More than that, these organizations are requesting the aid of attorney general Merrick Garland to fend off any and all rational voices that might be protesting such practices. No surprise that references are being made to bomb threats and violence, which, if true at all hardly represent mainstream opposition.
Cold comfort that the Nazi analogies write themselves. Bomb threats and violence are akin to the Reichstag fire, allowing a jack-booted crackdown to be orchestrated by Garland, a latter-day version of Heinrich Himmler. And, significantly, large numbers of the medical profession were early supporters of the Nazi Party.
While Josef Mengele richly deserves his place in infamy, the emphasis on him also includes a cynical aspect to create the false narrative that he was among the very few medical doctors who embraced the dark side.
Some might wish to invoke the sad story of Ignaz Semmelweis, a physician who was mocked by most of his contemporaries for suggesting that hand hygiene and antiseptic technique would drastically lower the number of fatal surgical infections. But, Semmelweis’ opponents never publicly advocated directly and knowingly doing harm to their patients.
No, such a travesty could only occur in our enlightened age of 2022.
He said to his disciples, “Things that cause sin will inevitably occur, but woe to the person through whom they occur.
It would be better for him if a millstone were put around his neck and he be thrown into the sea than for him to cause one of these little ones to sin.” (Luke 17:1-2)
